Designing Absynth 5 Patches from Scratch
Absynth comes with a ton of presets, and many of these are much better than what you typically find in factory libraries. BUT, making your own sounds is so much more fun!
So Much Potential!
You can showcase feature after feature in Absynth for days and feel like you still haven’t seen it all!
The PluginGuru usually does a good job with his video tutorials, and this is no exception. You can tell he loves working with Absynth because he flies through the interface like he’s used it quite a bit, and he’s eager to show off a bunch of different tips and tricks that will make your sessions in Absynth easier, more productive and a lot more user friendly. It’s one of those videos that you will want to make sure you come back to at least a couple times to makes sure you get the basic navigation and workflow stuff down. It works out to be nearly 40 minutes of learning!
The sound design portion of the video begins with how to set up an oscillator. This is followed by how the filter tool works. And this, of course, leads directly into the envelopes that help to set Absynth apart from the rest of the other programs out there. You can literally have a different envelope assigned to every single parameter! Taking that level of control even further is the ability to assign an LFO to each envelope, and you can then use a real-time control feature to automate both the envelope and/or the LFO. It is a ridiculous amount of power and control to give a sound designer, and it one of the biggest reasons with Absynth is different.
You will learn how to load your own samples and manipulate the heck out of them until they become something entirely new. Use modulator and filter panels like a ring mod or a low pass on an oscillator. How to load, loop and sync envelopes, as well as how to fine-tune the individual elements of the envelope curves. How to automate and assign controls from any parameter through Absynth.
PluginGuru also has released an amazing pack of sounds for Absynth which you can find by clicking this link!
All of this and it’s barely even touching on what you can do with this powerhouse synth from Native Instruments! So the best thing to do is probably just keep checking back in with us regularly to get the best tutorials, tips, tricks, patches, inspiration and a whole lot more. Thanks for stopping by!
